Centaur Opens New Canada Office

Centaur Fund Services is delighted to announce the launch of its new office in Waterloo, Ontario establishing the firm’s presence in Canada. Industry expert Self Hamac heads up operations as the firm extends its operations in North America.
Specializing in Private Equity and Insurance Linked Securities ("ILS"), the team of seven brings expertise in specialist accounting and day-to-day management of Centaur clients’ funds. To support Centaur’s continued growth in Private Equity in North America, employee numbers in Waterloo will grow to 12 by the end of 2020 with the goal of a further doubling of local jobs within two years.

Self is Head of Operations at Centaur Canada. He has over 15 years of professional accounting experience, with extensive experience in alternative funds. Prior to joining Centaur, he worked at Citi Hedge Fund Services Ltd. and Prime Management Limited leading teams in Canada and Bermuda.
Self is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, having trained at Grant Thornton where he worked on a variety of audit clients in various industries, including financial services.
