Karen Malone meeting with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and the Irish Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald

Dublin, 5th July 2017
- Female representation in business was among the topics discussed during a roundtable meeting moderated by Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau yesterday. The event was hosted by the Irish Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald.

Karen Malone, Founding Partner of Centaur Fund Services, joined eleven other business leaders along with Irish Government Ministers and representatives from Enterprise Ireland to discuss building ongoing business relationships between Canada and Ireland. There was a particular emphasis on female entrepreneurship and females in leadership positions and what steps Irish corporates can take to improve the gender balance in their organisations. The Canadian Prime Minister is a strong advocate of female representation and he has an equal number of women and men represented in his cabinet.

We had a very constructive meeting with Prime Minister Trudeau and covered many topics,” said Karen. “We had insightful discussions about how to improve the gender balance in Ireland. This is an important subject for Centaur, as we strongly encourage women and men to succeed equally across the firm. Centaur was the only fund administrator in attendance at the meeting and we were delighted to have been invited to give our input into these important discussions.”
