Operational and Investment Due Diligence – What Do Investors Want?

Centaur recently hosted its latest Client Club event at the Royal Ocean Racing Club in London. Ronan Daly hosted a lively panel comprised of Emlyn Palmer of Saguenay Strathmore Capital, Gareth Jones of Amber Partners and Alexandra Tzalla of Laven Legal.

The panel discussed current investment allocations and some of the key issues considered by investors prior to allocations being made. It is clear that operational and investment due diligence carried out by investors is now more thorough than ever before, while it was encouraging to hear that investors generally strive to take an holistic approach to their due diligence rather than deploying rigid box ticking exercises.

With over 40 investors and managers in attendance the event was an interactive and topical discussion of the evolving requirements of hedge fund investors post 2008.
