We launched the Centaur Client Club in London in late November 2012. This is an informal discussion group for our clients where we get to chat through some of the key issues facing the industry with the help of leading industry experts. The Club also allows our clients to network with each other in a discreet environment.

Our first session was chaired by Ronan Daly and focused on AIFMD and its impact for EU based managers running offshore funds. The key concern of many of our clients is how they can comply with AIFMD without completely re-structuring their businesses. The session was extremely well attended and provided clients with practical advice on how to deal with this challenging piece of regulation.

We were assisted in our discussion by Richard Perry, Partner and Head of the Financial Services Group at Simmons and Simmons.

The next Centaur Client Club event will be scheduled for Q2 2013.
