Role Description

The role consists of providing technical support and enhancement to existing system applications and involved in new products development. The successful applicant will be part of a small, highly skilled team and will work closely with end users across the business, to gain an understanding of their needs and requirements. The responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to) the following:

• Provide technical support to the systems users’ queries and issues, through resolution
• Maintain SSIS based ETL processes for data conversion from different applications using MS SQL Server
• Maintain and enhance reports built in Excel with Visual Basic
• Functional testing of changes and updates to the systems prior to release into the live environment
• Involvement in projects to improve data processing and system procedures
• Liaise with systems vendors to escalate unresolved issues, ensuring that the business is not impacted, and develop further knowledge of the systems functionalities
• Involved with accounts setup, systems integrations and data exchange
• Participate in providing system training to the end users

The Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related disciplines
• Two or more years’ experience in a technology focus analyst role, preferably in the Financial Services industry; experience in fund administration business would be a plus
• Microsoft Excel expertise and proficiency in the rest of the Microsoft Office packages
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, including SSIS and SSRS
• Knowledge in Visual Basic and C#
• Proven experience in FIS (previously known as SunGard) applications (InvestOne, Investran, DX, EMS, etc.) configuration, setup, operations and solving production issues, would be an advantage
• Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the systems’ knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical, organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision, in a demanding and progressive environment, meeting deadlines as necessary
