Centaur Fund Services is marking 10 Years of Exceptional Fund Administration this month with a series of celebrations taking place in Dublin, New York, Bermuda and London.  There is much to celebrate: Last year, the firm celebrated a 75% increase in Assets Under Administration and a 50% increase in number of clients along with significant new senior management appointments in Europe and the US along with the opening of Centaur Luxembourg. Importantly, the firm has never lost a single client since its inception.

Looking back on the last decade, Karen Malone, Founding Partner of Centaur said, “In 2009, in some of the most volatile times in global markets, Centaur opened its doors in Dublin, Ireland with a team of seven people who realized there was an appetite for a specialist, independent administration firm. In the first 12 months, we tripled staff numbers and we secured our first 5 clients. That growth path has continued to this day. We now have over 140 employees, 9 offices in Europe and North America, over 70 clients and over $35bn in assets under administration. We work with fund managers and investors across the globe and in the last few years we have broadened our offerings with the hugely successful launch of Centaur Private Equity and Centaur ILS.”

Centaur’s success has been based on the two simple values that inspired the launch of the firm 10 years ago: Accountability and Client Service. From the get-go, Centaur has insisted on being contractually accountable for all its services. When it comes to client service, the team works hard to generate a client first culture throughout the entire firm.

Karen explains, “Our original idea was that managers would want to work with service providers that take responsibility for the services they provide. That’s why we have spent the last 10 years saying that accountability counts and we will continue to stand by that in our binding agreements. We are hugely excited about the next chapter for Centaur and see fantastic opportunities for our unique proposition of great client service, great technology and infrastructure and unrelenting focus on our staff and our culture.”
