Karen Malone, Founding Partner of Centaur, was awarded the Outstanding Contribution in Fund Administration Award at the annual Hedge Fund Journal Awards in London last week where the best in the hedge fund industry were recognised. This award was granted to Karen in recognition for her significant contribution to the Fund Administration industry over her career to date.
In the last ten years, Karen has taken a company she co-founded and turned it into the fund administration leader it is today. In addition to building and managing Centaur Karen is also a strong advocate of entrepreneurship and has engaged with business owners and world leaders on the subject, including the Irish President and Canadian Prime Minister.
“Karen is highly regarded in the fund administration arena and is a highly respected colleague. The team at Centaur are delighted to see her receive this prestigious recognition,” said Ronan Daly, Founding Partner of Centaur. “The award is well deserved: She personifies more than 25 years of high-level accomplishments in fund services.”
Speaking upon receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award, Karen said: “It is a great honour receive this award and I would like to thank the industry and also my colleagues at Centaur for their help and support over the years.”
There is lots to celebrate as Centaur marks its 10 year anniversary: The firm was also named “Leading Hedge Fund Administrator” at the same awards ceremony. Additionally, Centaur has just been nominated in four categories at the HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards which will take place in London on 28th March 2019.
