In July 2016 Centaur established its Bermuda office with industry veteran Marc Weaver.  The team has grown significantly since then, with more opportunities available for ambitious people at all levels as our business continues to expand on the island.

2. ILS AND REINSURANCE SERVICES GROWTH

Since its inception over 1 year ago, Centaur’s ILS (Insurance-linked securities) Service has grown from strength to strength.  We have recruited the best team in the industry to ensure premium independent administration services.  With IC Condat and Neil MacGuinness heading the ILS team, Centaur is fulfilling the ever-growing appetite in the ILS asset class.

Marc states, “Our ILS team is comprised of specialists working exclusively in the asset class. The team has the essential expertise and experience to service sophisticated ILS structures and are on hand to deliver customisable solutions for our clients.”

3. GROWING CLIENT BASE

Over the past 2 years, Centaur Bermuda has significantly increased client numbers and has expanded its service offering. Our ability to establish ourselves as a premium service provider for private equity and ILS funds has been fundamental to our success.

4. COMMITMENT TO LOCAL RELATIONSHIPS

Bermuda is a key strategic location for Centaur and acts as an important servicing office, primarily for North American based clients. There have been many key relationships established since Centaur’s Bermuda office opened in 2016, such as the Business Development Agency (BDA), Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), the Ministry of Economic Development and the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Marc says, “We greatly appreciated the advice from the BDA when Centaur was setting up its Bermuda office and the constructive relationship with the BMA to obtain our license to carry out the business of a fund administrator. We also look forward to work with the Ministry of Economic Development and local recruitment agencies to start a graduate program for young students wanting to learn about the industry.”
